As the new VP for the Program, I expressed to the Board how much I look forward to working with the members and the Board to shape the Annual Program, following in many ways the direction set by Joseph Farrell. Hence I want to encourage SCS Members to submit proposals for panels under a variety of new formats. In particular, I encourage members to submit proposals for seminars and for workshops; the latter can be devoted to a new book, or can be organized as a debate. These two formats were in evidence in New Orleans and were very successful in enlivening the last meeting. I met with members of the Program Committee in New Orleans to discuss the upcoming program in San Francisco, January 6-9, 2016.
