The Classics Department at the University of Oregon invites applications for a one year visitor position in Classical Archaeology at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin September 16, 2014. PhD in Classics and/or Classical Archaeology or related discipline is required by the time of appointment and candidates must demonstrate a strong record or potential for exceptional teaching. Primary teaching responsibilities consist of six classes per year (2-2-2) and will include courses in Greek and/or Roman archaeology and material culture as well as Greek and/or Latin language and classics-in-translation at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
