Registration is required for attendance at all sessions, utilization of the Placement Service, admission into the exhibit area, and access to special hotel rates for meeting attendees. No one will be admitted into the exhibit area and meeting rooms without the official AIA/SCS Annual Meeting badge.  Please click here to register online or to download a registration form to register via mail or fax.

Advance Registration: Members are strongly encouraged to register in advance to avoid long onsite registration lines in Philadelphia.

Registrations received (not postmarked) by December 19, 2011 will be accepted at the following rates:

  • SCS and AIA members - $165
  • Nonmembers - $215
  • SCS or AIA student members - $60
  • Student nonmembers - $110
  • Nonprofessional spouse/member’s guest - $75
  • One-day registration - $105
  • One-day Exhibit Hall Pass - $40

Membership in the societies will be verified. The spouse/guest category is for a non-professional or non-student guest accompanying a paid attendee. Only full-time student members of SCS or AIA are eligible for the reduced student rate. All other students must pay the non-member rate. Proof of full-time student status (e.g., student ID or a statement of status from department advisor or chair) must be supplied when picking up materials in Philadelphia. One-day registration is possible for a single day only; individuals wishing to attend for more than one day must register at the full rate. The one-day exhibit hall pass provides access to the exhibit hall only; attendees with this pass will not be allowed entry into any sessions or events.

Final Advance Registration:  All advance registration payments must be received (not postmarked) by December 19, 2011. This is a firm deadline: any forms received after this date will be processed onsite in Philadelphia.

Advance registrants may pick up name badges, plus any additional items they have ordered, at the Advance Registration Desk in thePhiladelphia Marriott Downtown during posted registration hours (see below).

Cancellation Policy:  Registration fees will be refunded upon written or emailed request made through December 16, 2011, and are subject to a $15 administrative service fee. Requests received after this date cannot be honored. These requests must be sent to the AIA/SCS 2012 Registration address above or to will be processed after the Annual Meeting and before March 15, 2012. Registrants are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations.

On-Site Registration:  The Convention Registration area will be in operation in the foyer area of Franklin Hall, located on the 4th Floor of thePhiladelphia Marriott Downtown, during the following hours:

Thursday, January 5: 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, January 6: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 7: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, January 8: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

The on-site registration fees are the same as the advance registration fees listed above.
