Broadly defined, imposter syndrome is the overwhelming, internalized feeling of not belonging. Everyone has likely felt feelings of doubt at some point in their academic journeys; however, these feelings are heightened among minorities in the traditionally-exclusive field of Classics. In this talk, I will cover 1) my expectations as a student for our educators and institutions to better fulfill our needs and 2) how we (my fellow underrepresented minorities) must take agency in pioneering inclusivity efforts and inspiring the next generations of Classicists.
