Lecturer in Classics
The Humanities Collegiate Division, the Social Sciences Collegiate Division, and the Department of Classics at the University of Chicago are accepting applications for a part- time, benefits-eligible, Lecturer in Classics for a one-year, non-renewable, term, starting October 1, 2019.
A Master’s Degree or equivalent in Classics or a related field is required. A PhD is preferred. Specialized training in ancient language pedagogy is highly desirable.
The teaching load will include two classes of Elementary Latin and two sections of "Ancient Mediterranean World-2: Rome" over three quarters of the academic year.
