The Department of Classics at Columbia University invites applications for a two-year appointment beginning July 1, 2016 as a lecturer in Classics, with a primary specialization in Latin language and literature, but also with demonstrable experience in teaching Greek. The appointee will be expected to teach language courses at all levels, but will also have the opportunity to teach courses in literature and culture, including courses in translation. The teaching load will be five courses per year. Applicants must have the Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment.
