The Classics Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of advanced Assistant Professor or early Associate Professor to begin on July 1, 2018.

The teaching load for this position is five courses per year. The successful candidate will be able to teach all levels of Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies, including courses which can contribute to at least one of Hamilton’s Interdisciplinary Programs (Environmental Studies; Jurisprudence, Law and Justice Studies; Medieval and Renaissance Studies) and the Social, Structural and Institutional Hierarchies requirement: (https://www.hamilton.edu/offices/dof/faculty-support-resources/resource…) We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with diverse student populations.

Candidates must have their PhD at the start of the position.
