The Department of Classics at Dartmouth College seeks to appoint a lecturer for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years. Candidates for this position should be specialists in ancient Greek or Latin languages and literatures who are prepared to teach courses in Greek and Latin at all levels as well as courses in Classical civilization. This two-year, non-renewable position requires teaching five courses over three ten-week academic quarters each year; the first teaching assignment begins on 20 June 2018. (Dartmouth is on year-round operation, and the Classics Department teaches part of its regular curriculum each summer. The teaching assignment for the summer quarter of 2018 is a large enrollment course in Classical mythology that will be team-taught with another member of the faculty.)
