The Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures at Texas Tech University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Classics for academic year 2014-15 (1 year). Candidates will have a specialization in Greco-Roman Material Culture and a demonstrated commitment to research and publication. Teaching duties may include Ancient Technology, Mythology, Sports and Spectacles in the Ancient World and Greek Civilization on the undergraduate level. In addition, candidates will be expected to play an active role in other departmental activities. Applicants should send a cover letter, a CV (detailing any experience teaching the courses listed above), a dossier comprised of a short sample of published scholarly work and three letters of recommendation.
