The Humanities Department at University of the Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Classics starting August 15, 2015. We seek a scholar competent to teach a variety of subjects related to Greece and Rome, and other creative offerings in their fields. Proof of dynamic, successful teaching and commitment to undergraduate education is essential. Ph.D. in hand and competence in Greek and/or Latin required. Teaching load is three courses per semester, including participation in the University’s general education “Intellectual Heritage” sequence of courses. Other duties include committee work and student advising. The Humanities Department is both strongly multi-disciplinary and truly collegial. An active research agenda is expected.

USciences is a private, comprehensive coeducational University founded in 1821 as the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the first such school in North America.
