Valparaiso University invites applications for a one-year position in Classics at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor (or Visiting Instructor for an ABD-candidate) beginning approximately August 15, 2015. Candidates should have the Ph.D. completed or nearly completed and the ability to teach all levels of Greek and Latin languages, Greek and Roman History, and perhaps some material culture courses, like Classical Archaeology. Strong generalists with a record of excellent teaching and research interests in ancient history or material culture will be given priority.
