The Department of the Classics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time 9 month, non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Classical Greek Archaeology, beginning 16 August 2015. The position may be renewable subject to enrollments, funding, and positive performance reviews. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applicants must have a PhD in Classical Archaeology, Classics, or in an immediately relevant field by the start date. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching responsibilities include six courses annually, in the area of Greek Archaeology and Art and Classical Civilization.
