The Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a Classicist for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level. Area of specialization is open. We seek a scholar specializing in an area that would complement existing departmental strengths. We are especially interested in a candidate whose research agenda could provide opportunities for undergraduate participation in productive scholarship at a high level. S/he must be able to teach Latin, Greek, and culture courses at all undergraduate levels. Candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 2016, as well as evidence of successful teaching and potential for publication.
