The Department of History at Utah State University invites applications for a one-year non-renewable postdoctoral teaching fellow in Classics. Fellows will be responsible for teaching five undergraduate courses during the year, which will include one section of early Western Civilization or ancient World survey as well as two upper-division courses in Latin and Greek, an upper-division Roman history, and one other upper-division course in the area of specialization. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Classics between August 2013 and June 2016. The successful fellow may expect an annual salary of $35,000 plus benefits, office space, computer, $1000 in moving expenses, and library privileges. In addition, fellows may apply for departmental travel funds for presentations at conferences during the 2016-17 year. Review of applications begins February 1, 2016, and continues until the position is filled.
