The Classical Studies Department at Dickinson College seeks a Classicist at the rank of tenure track assistant professor who specializes in Greek or Roman history and can teach Greek and Latin at all levels. The successful candidate should demonstrate clear potential for scholarly work and be able to participate fully in an interdisciplinary, language-based, Classics curriculum in line with Dickinson’s liberal arts tradition. The successful candidate will be able to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body. Willingness to participate in the department’s dynamic co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including digital projects, the Roberts Lecture, and Eta Sigma Phi, is a plus. Ph.D. is required.
