The Department of the Classics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time 9-month, non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Classical Archaeology, beginning August 16, 2016. The position is renewable subject to enrollments, funding, and positive performance reviews. Applicants must have a PhD in Classical Archaeology, Classics, or in an immediately relevant field by August 1, 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching responsibilities include six courses annually, in the area of Classical Archaeology and Art. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
