Joint Humanities and Classics Search YALE UNIVERSITY – NEW HAVEN, CT The Humanities Program and the Department of Classics at Yale University invite applications for an open rank search in the field of Humanities and Classics, beginning July 1, 2017. Applicants must have the PhD in hand by this date. We are searching for an outstanding and versatile scholar with expertise in Classics (specializing in ancient Greek literature) and broad research interests that are informed by, and contribute to, research in the cross-disciplinary Humanities. The successful candidate will complement the research and teaching strengths of faculty in the Classics department. We are particularly interested in innovative scholarship at the intersection of different disciplines and are looking for candidates with the ability to play a leading role in conversations about the future of the Humanities. The successful candidate will teach courses in both departments, including regular teaching for Directed Studies (http://www.yale.edu/directedstudies/). They will also be expected to supervise graduate students in Classics.
