The Department of Classics at the University of Mississippi (http://classics.olemiss.edu) invites applications for an approved tenure-track position in Roman Archaeology at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in academic year 2017-2018 (starting date mid-August, 2017). A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of the appointment. Applicants should have teaching and research interests in Roman archaeology and culture and also be able to teach Latin at least through the intermediate level. Standard teaching load for this position is 3/3. Review of applications will begin on November 15 and continue until the position is filled or an adequate pool of candidates is reached.
