The University of Cincinnati Classics Department offers two types of visiting fellowships for study and research in the fields of philology, history, or archaeology. Apart from residence in Cincinnati for the term of the relevant fellowship, the only obligation of participants in either program is to pursue their own research.

Tytus Scholarships, held during the academic year, are for senior scholars (minimum 5 years beyond receipt of Ph.D); Tytus scholars receive a monthly stipend of $1,500 plus housing near campus and a transportation allowance, as well as office space attached to the Burnam Classics Library.

Cincinnati Summer Residencies are held from May to August, and are open to those with Ph.D. in hand by the time of application. Summer residents receive housing near campus and office space attached to the Burnam Classics Library, but are not eligible for stipend or travel reimbursement.
