The Department of Classics announces a second Postdoctoral Fellowship beginning August 2017. Initial appointment is for one calendar year, with automatic renewal for two additional years pending satisfactory completion of duties, for a total of three years maximum. In addition to engagement with the undergraduate and graduate students and participation in the research program of the Department, the duties of the position shall include a teaching load of 2 courses each term, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The salary is set at $47,659 per annum; the position is eligible for health insurance. This position is open only to those who have received the Ph.D. after January 1, 2013; the Ph.D. must be in hand by July 1, 2017 (this is a requirement of the University and is not negotiable).

We seek a specialist in Greek Archaeology and Material Culture whose interests complement those of the current faculty. We are interested in scholars with a strong research program and innovative approaches to Greek Archaeology.
