The Classics Program at the University of California, Davis, invites applicants for a full-time lecturer in Classics for the 2017-18 academic year (September through June). Candidates should demonstrate a clear commitment to undergraduate education and be ready to teach Greek and Latin at the undergraduate level as well as discussion courses (e.g., on Socrates or Herodotus) and large lecture courses (e.g., on mythology or Greek civilization). Teaching load is two courses per quarter. Ph.D. in Classics or related field is strongly preferred.
