The Department of Classics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time lecturer benefitted position to begin September 1, 2017. This is a one year appointment for the academic year 2017–2018. A Ph.D. in Classics or equivalent is required prior to the beginning of the appointment. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The teaching load is 4-3 plus departmental service. Teaching needs include Beginning Greek, Greek Civilization, and Mediterranean Material Culture. In addition an ability to teach Beginning and Intermediate Latin or Classical Mythology will be viewed favorably.
