The Department of the Classics seeks applications for a part-time lecturer in Ancient History. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2017 or January 1, 2018. The lecturer will be responsible for two courses, either teaching both in a single semester or one course each term, comprising a graduate seminar and an undergraduate survey course on Greek or Roman history. The lecturer may also conduct reading courses with graduate students, advise and evaluate senior theses, and contribute to the supervision of graduate research.

The position is for one semester (if both courses are taught in one semester) or one year (if one course is taught in the fall term and one course is taught in the spring term).

Doctorate in Ancient History or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.
