Starting Date: Fall Quarter instruction begins September 28th, 2017; Spring Quarter ends June 15, 2018

Salary: Based on 100% annual salary of $53,402 (pending final budget approval). Appointment is eligible for renewal depending on need, funding and performance.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements are a MA Degree in Classics; advanced knowledge of Classical Latin and Greek as well as teaching experience in a University context. Priority will be given to candidates with experience and success in teaching all levels of Latin and Classical civilization at an American university.

Duties:

Duties will consist of the instruction of 3 courses in fall 2017, 3 courses in winter 2018, and 2 courses in spring 2018 pending enrolment and funding. The successful candidate will teach Latin language at the Beginning and Intermediate levels (LATN 1-4, Elementary and Intermediate Latin), Latin at the advanced level (LATN 101), and Classical Greek and Roman civilization (CLA 10A, CLA 10B, and CLA 10C). Reappointment for future is possible; excellence in language teaching is required.
