Brandeis University invites applications for a two-year, non-renewable Florence Levy Kay Fellowship in Hebrew Bible and Mediterranean Cross-Cultural Textual Traditions. We seek a Fellow who takes intercultural approaches to the people, cultures, material remains, and languages of the ancient Eastern Mediterranean. The area and period of specialization is open, but we are especially interested in candidates whose research and teaching interests explore the cross-cultural influences that shaped the development of the Hebrew Bible across multiple sociocultural and linguistic groups in the region. We welcome applications from PhDs in Classical Studies, Near Eastern, Judaic Studies, Biblical Studies or other related fields.
