The Department of Classics and the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Washington University in St. Louis invite applications for a ​postdoctoral teaching fellow in Classical Archaeology.  This is a one-year, sabbatical replacement position. The successful candidate must have a PhD in a relevant field in hand by July 1, 2020, must have an active research program, and teaching experience as instructor of record is preferred. Candidates must be prepared to teach courses at all undergraduate levels and graduate seminars in the art, material culture, and/or architecture of the ancient Mediterranean world, and language courses in either Ancient Greek or Latin at the undergraduate level. Experience in and ideas for developing student interest in field archaeology are desirable. Duties will include teaching of two courses per semester and some service, evenly divided between the two departments.
