The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga invites applications for a lecturer position in Classics. This is a full-time non-tenure-track appointment that begins August 1, 2021. The successful candidate will have, at the minimum, a Master’s degree in Classics or a closely related field. The ability to teach beginning and intermediate Latin and Greek language courses as well as courses in classical literature and culture in translation is required. Experience in designing and coordinating study-abroad experiences and other forms of student engagement outside the classroom is desirable. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
