Part-time Lecturer (non-tenure track)
Position Description
The Department of Classical Studies at Tufts University is seeking applicants for a one-year part-time Lectureship beginning September 1, 2021. Teaching responsibilities for this position will consist of one course per semester. The department seeks Classicists in any field of specialization with an innovative and thoughtful approach to teaching designed to engage the broadest range of students in the study of the Ancient World. We are particularly interested in courses that will invite interdisciplinary engagement with other fields, expand the academic horizons within the department, and attract students to the study of Antiquity. Qualifications
A Ph.D. by July 1, 2021 is preferred; ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with traditionally underrepresented students, including students of color, and advance in her/his teaching Tufts University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
