What We Are Looking For
Baylor University's Great Texts Program seeks to fill a one-year full-time Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow position in the Honors College for the academic year 2025-2026, with an anticipated start date in August 2025. A second-year renewal of the appointment is possible and desirable. Workload assignment is 75% teaching and 25% research, with teaching to include three courses each semester. Fellows will teach a first-year writing seminar, Research Writing: Issues in Great Texts, introducing students to scholarship in texts or traditions of the instructor's choosing. Fellows will also teach Intellectual Traditions of the Ancient World or Medieval Intellectual Traditions. We encourage applications from a wide range of historical and disciplinary specializations in the humanities.
The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in a humanities discipline (awarded by August 21, 2025). Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants may be asked to provide a statement of religious faith demonstrating understanding of and compatibility with Baylor's Christian mission.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
