The History Department at Western Kentucky University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month tenure-track position as assistant professor in Ancient History with specialization in Roman World beginning August 2012. The successful candidate will be expected to teach survey courses in Western or World Civilization, as well as specialized undergraduate and graduate courses in Ancient History. Applicants should demonstrate potential for successful teaching, research, and publication. A Ph.D. in History or related field with a research concentration in Ancient Rome is expected by time of appointment.
