L'Année philologique Moving to Brepols

Here is an important announcement from the Société internationale de bibliographie classique: beginning October 1, 2017 Brepols publishers will become the sole publisher and distributor of the L'Année philologique, both in print and online. Libraries and individuals currently subscribing through Les Belles Lettres and EBSCO will continue to have online access through these distributors until their current subscription concludes, no later than Dec. 31, 2018.

NEH Funding

Earlier this year SCS President Georgia Nugent issued a Presidential Letter on the Trump administration's budget blueprint that proposed elimination of many educational and cultural agencies including the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The administration's full budget proposal for fiscal year 2018, published yesterday, is in line with the earlier blueprint.

William J. Mayer, 72, formerly of New York, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Presbyterian SeniorCare's Southmont, Washington.

Born July 10, 1944, in New York, he was a son of the late Mildred and Emil Mayer.

He was a loving brother of Dr. George (Judy) Mayer of Peters Township.
