Colin MacCormack is a graduate student and assistant instructor in the Classics Department at the University of Texas. His work focuses on Hellenistic and Roman poetry, particularly their use of animals and the intersection of poetic and technical traditions. He is currently finishing his dissertation, 'Animals and Popular Science in Classical Literature'. At UT, he is also a member of the Mellon Foundation’s Engaged Scholar Initiative, an interdisciplinary and publicly-oriented fellowship of humanities scholars.
