City in a Nutshell: Experiencing Antiquity and Encountering the Ancient
On occasion of the exhibition Anne Fischer: Visit to and Ancient City, join young scholars Charles Ro (University of Pennsylvania) and Sal Salamanca (Princeton University) as they discuss Roman fascination with delicate miniatures, tensions between imagined ancient cities and their actual ruins, and the history of visualizing such tensions.
The conversation will be introduced by Dr. Melissa Lane, PhD, Class of 1943 Professor of Politics, Princeton University, and artist Anne Fischer.
