ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY - TEMPE, AZ
LECTURER OF LATIN: 1-year appointment, starting August 16, 2002, annually renewable depending on performance and funding.

REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. by August 16, 2002 in Latin or Classical Languages, experience in teaching college-level Latin.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Teach four lower-division Latin courses each semester; coordinate lower-division Latin program; serve as community liaison for Classical Studies at Arizona State University by meeting with local high school Latin programs and organizing participation in the ASU Language Fair in the spring semester. Submit cover letter, academic transcripts, CV, 3 letters of recommendation, complete sets of teaching evaluations from two Latin language courses, and one example of a lower-level Latin exam prepared by the applicant to: Dr. Deborah Losse, Chair, Dept. of Languages and Literatures, Arizona State University, P.O.
