The Department of Classics at The University of Texas at Austin announces a position in Greek History at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-track). The department welcomes applicants specializing in all periods and aspects of Greek History. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous research agenda in their area of scholarship. Teaching expectations will include graduate seminars, undergraduate courses in both large and medium lecture and smaller seminar formats, and language courses at all levels, beginning through graduate.

Candidates are expected to have the PhD in hand by the start of the appointment on August 18, 2020.
