Classical Studies- One-year visiting full-time position in Classical Studies beginning fall 2004. Generalist to teach courses in language, literature, civilization and literature in translation. Ability to teach courses in Greek and Latin at all levels required. Area of specialization open, but preference will be given to applicants with experience or expertise in interdisciplinary teaching in the areas of Comparative Literature or Women's Studies. Must be willing to contribute to the College's interdepartmental programs and to supervise students in the College's program of Independent Study. Ph.D. or ABD required. Ability to teach language courses in Greek and Latin at all levels essential. Applicants should also have interest and experience in interdisciplinary teaching (e.g., Archaeology, Comparative Literature, Women's Studies).
