FRAGMENTS is a ground-breaking new play by Laura Swift and Russell Bender produced by Potential Difference that will premiere in a 4-week run at The Playground Theatre in London, Latimer Road, from 14 April - 6 May.

Inspired by the vast collections of ancient papyrus fragments held in museums and libraries around the world, the play explores broader issues of how we experience fragments in our own lives. FRAGMENTS will create a unique fragmented style of half-heard phrases, shadow play and song to explore how we piece together meaning and narrative from broken fragments of information.

Dr Laura Swift is an Associate Professor in Classical Languages and Literature at the University of Oxford. She was described by the Leverhulme Trust as one of the leading Hellenists of her generation. Russell Bender is the Artistic Director of Potential Difference, who’s previous work has been hailed as “A brilliantly constructed and performed piece of theatre” - Exeunt.
