The Society for Classical Studies is deeply saddened by the recent loss of David Konstan, who passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024. He served as President of the SCS (then named the American Philological Association) in 1999, and he was the recipient of the Charles J. Goodwin Award of Merit in 2008 for his book, The Emotions of the Ancient Greeks: Studies in Aristotle and Classical Literature. We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
