Haverford College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Classics, at the beginning or advanced Assistant Professor level. The position will begin in Fall 2018 and qualified candidates should have completed the PhD at the time of the appointment.  The field of scholarly expertise is open.

The successful candidate must have outstanding potential in research and be able to contribute to Haverford’s Classics curriculum, which is taught in collaboration with colleagues at Bryn Mawr College, by offering courses in Greek and Latin at all levels and courses in Classical literature, history, and culture in translation. The ability to contribute to the Haverford-Bryn Mawr program in Comparative Literature or one or more of our interdisciplinary minors or concentrations is highly desirable   (https://www.haverford.edu/academics/majors-minors-and-concentrations) - but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
