CLASSICS/MEDITERRANEAN RELIGIONS & CULTURES/ANCIENT HISTORY. The University of Rochester, Department of Religion and Classics seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor of Classics. Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in Latin at all levels, Ancient History, Greek, and courses involving their research interests. Proven excellence in teaching and completed Ph.D. are desirable, with preferred research specialties in Latin language and literature, Greek and Roman religions, classical archaeology, or Greco-Roman history and civilization. Such specialties will complement the mission of the Department to connect the study of religions with the languages in which they came to expression and the cultures and civilizations from which they emerged. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
