Assistant /Associate Professor. Available August 1999. Tenure-track position. Dramaturgy with specialty in structure/analysis and interest in performance analysis. Experience as production Dramaturgy essential. Terminal degree required. Successful candidate will serve as Production Dramaturgy, will mentor graduate students serving as Dramaturgs, and will function as literary manager. Will teach courses in dramaturgy, theory and criticism, styles/forms of theatre, and models for interpretation. Candidates may be grounded in other theatre disciplines such as directing, acting, or design. The Production Program is intense and classically focused with close affiliations with The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, and The Aquila Company, a British Company in residence.
