Position Description |
Columbia University invites applications for Visiting Professorships in the Core Curriculum for one academic year. The professorships are open to tenured faculty who have an active interest and accomplishments in liberal arts teaching and curricular development. The visiting professors will be appointed in one of the Humanities or Social Science departments of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The visitors will each teach one year-long course in the Core Curriculum and possibly an additional course in their area of specialization. Visiting Professors will also pursue a scholarly project and develop a curricular plan for implementation at their home institution. Review will begin December 15, 2019 and will continue until the positions are filled. PhD. All candidates must be tenured at their home institution and have excellent record of liberal arts teaching and commitment to curricular development. Candidates for Visiting Associate Professor should possess a demonstrated record of professional achievement and show great promise for attaining distinction in their fields of specialization. |
