The Department of Classics is seeking candidates for a one-year sabbatical replacement position at the Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (ABD) level, beginning September 2004. Candidates should be Latinists who are also able to teach classical mythology and a history oriented Roman civilization class. Latin courses will include elementary and intermediate classes, as well as an upper level seminar (preferably Horace). The normal teaching load is three courses per semester.

The Classics Department at Emory University invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Lecturer in Classics. Candidates will be asked to teach 5 classes, one of which will be first semester Latin. Area of specialization open. Ability to teach all levels of Greek and Latin desirable. Ideally, the candidate would be prepared to teach an advanced Greek course on Aristophanes, or a classical civilization course on ancient drama in the fall.
