Job Description

The Department of Classical Studies at Wellesley College invites applications for a visiting lecturer for the academic years 2024-25, with the possibility of renewal in 2025-26. This is a benefits-eligible position, teaching four courses, for an appointment that is 80% of full time. The ideal candidate will have completed the PhD by Oct. 1, 2024, and have successful experience teaching Latin. Teaching program would include Latin courses at all levels, and courses taught in translation. This position is in a collective bargaining unit represented by Wellesley Organized Academic Workers – UAW (WOAW-UAW).
