The Department of Greek and Roman Studies at the University of Victoria invites applications to teach courses in Greek and Roman mythology, religion and Ancient Greek language and literature. The Department is seeking sessional lecturers for the following six courses during the 2025-2026 academic year:
Fall 2025
LATI 201: “Advanced Latin Grammar”
GRS 200: “Greek and Roman Mythology”
GRS 300: “Heroes and Heroines in Action in Ancient Greek Epics”
Spring 2026
Greek 202: “Introduction to Greek Literature”
GRS 320: “Greek Tragedy”
GRS 381: “Greek and Roman Religion”

Include evidence of teaching experience and innovative pedagogy, a complete CV, and a teaching reference to: Brendan Burke, Chair, Department of Greek and Roman Studies ([email protected]) before 15 March 2025.
