Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Spring has sprung, and for many of us, the academic year is coming to a close. This is a time to reflect on where we have been and where we hope to go, and for the SCS Fundraising Committee—as the former Annual Fund Committee is now named—to solicit your generosity in supporting the mission of the Society for Classical Studies.

Your gifts will be used to underwrite the Society’s awards and scholarships for students from historically underrepresented groups, they will provide subventions for graduate students and contingent faculty to attend the Annual Meeting, and help to fund a bespoke classically-themed public performance by the Martha Graham dance company when we come together in Philadelphia next January.

Please consider a gift to the Society. Whether large or small, demonstrations of support by our members are vital to our organization’s health and its ability to respond to the changes, challenges, and opportunities of our time.

Aut viam inveniemus aut faciemus.

With gratitude,
Members of the SCS Fundraising Committee
