The next round of Classics Everywhere applications is ready to receive proposals. The deadline is October 15, and you can apply using this form.

The Outreach Prize of the Society for Classical Studies (SCS), a prize of $300, recognizes outstanding projects or events by an SCS member or members that make an aspect of classical antiquity available and attractive to an audience other than classics scholars or students in their courses. Send all nomination materials to the Executive Director of the SCS (xd@classicalstudies.org) by September 11, 2020.

The newly-created Erich S. Gruen Prize invites all graduate students in North America to enter the first annual competition for the best graduate research paper on multiculturalism in the ancient Mediterranean. This year the prize will be a cash award of $500. The deadline for submissions is October 9, 2020.

The Forum Prize recognizes outstanding contributions to public engagement made by works about the ancient Greek and Roman world that have originated outside of the academy. In 2020, the Forum Prize nomination period will be open from June 1 to October 1. You can find the nomination form here.

We'd like to remind you of the creation of the SCS-WCC COVID-19 Relief Fund, a new award fund to support classicists, particularly graduate students and contingent faculty, experiencing precarity as a result of the pandemic.
