Bilkent University’s Faculty of Humanities and Letters announces multiple openings in the Program in Cultures, Civilizations and Ideas. We seek candidates with a broad-based background in the humanities and expertise in any field in the study of literature, philosophy or culture. Scholars committed to interdisciplinary and comparative work, and with proven excellence in teaching, are encouraged to apply. Experience in teaching “Great Books” courses is a plus. Standard teaching load is 3-3 (one prep), with a reduction available in the first year. Research support includes substantial funding for conference travel and potential for sabbatical leave following the third year. All candidates should have an active research agenda and hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field by September 2018.
