AUBURN UNIVERSITY
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Classics to teach undergraduate introductory courses in Latin and Greek, effective August 16, 2007. The teaching load is 3-2. Area of scholarly specialization is open. Commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential. Women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply.Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Classics, (candidate must have Ph.D. in hand by August 16, 2007); strong academic background; evidence of successful teaching at the college level, evidence of potential for successful research and scholarly/professional activities; willingness to participate in departmental activities.
