The Department of Classical and Modern Languages at Austin College invites applications for a three-year position in Classics with the possibility of renewal. We seek a generalist with an emphasis in Latin and Roman studies. Specialty is open; Ph.D. preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and be able to teach Latin language and literature at all levels, Roman and Greek history, and Greek language at the elementary and intermediate levels. Teaching duties will include one course each year in the core program, Heritage of Western Culture. Austin College is a selective national liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1300 undergraduates.
